A dissertação visa expor o modo como Foucault pensava a democracia em 1983 e suas relações com seus conceitos anteriores, como poder, conhecimento e subjetividade. O objetivo principal é entender como o filósofo elabora uma metodologia que pode ser, ao mesmo tempo, precisa para analisar a democracia grega antiga e profícuo para evocar novas questões sobre a nossa própria. Seu método, sustentará a dissertação, faz parte de uma longa tradição kantiana que pergunta sobre as condições da experiência atual

The dissertation aims to expose the way Foucault thought democracy in 1983 and its relations with his previous concepts such as power, knowledge and subjectivity. The main objective is to understand how the philosopher elaborates a methodology that could be, at the same time, precise to analysis the Ancient Greek democracy and serviceable to evoke new questions about our one. His method, the dissertation will sustain, is part of a long Kantian tradition that asks about the conditions of the present experience
