É necessária uma reflexão ética sobre o trabalho humano, já que em um mundo globalizado as grandes corporações procuram os países que não oferecem proteção ao trabalhador ou fazem isso de forma atenuada. O mesmo ocorre no Brasil, em relação à proteção do trabalhador. Trabalho e dignidade humana sempre andaram juntos. No entanto, com o tempo, a dignidade do ser humano vem sofrendo inúmeros golpes. O trabalho escravo, dos primórdios da humanidade, volta a assolar o mundo como uma doença sem cura. De igual maneira, o trabalhador é explorado, sem que os atores sociais e o próprio Direito do Trabalho consigam resolver esse problema. É necessário dotar o cidadão, que é um trabalhador, de ferramentas que possam fazer a mudança da mentalidade no trabalho, que atinjam, também, os planos material, espiritual e emocional do trabalhador, fazendo com ele cresça e se desenvolva. A consciência ética tem grande importância para o Direito do Trabalho porque pode devolver ao trabalhador o significado do trabalho, para que a humanidade possa avançar como um todo.

Ethical reflection on human work is needed, since in a globalized world, large corporations seek out countries that do not provide worker with protection or do so in a mitigated way. The same occurs in Brazil, in relation to worker protection. Work and human dignity have always been together. However, over time, the dignity of the human being has not been respected, as it should. Slave labor, from the beginnings of humankind, once again ravages the world as a disease without cure. In the same way, the worker is exploited, without the social actors and the Labor Law itself being able to solve this problem. It is necessary to equip the citizen, who is a worker, with tools that can change the mentality at work, that also reach the material, spiritual and emotional levels of the worker, making it grow and develop. The ethical consciousness has great importance for Labor Law because it can help the worker understand the real meaning of work. Therefore, that humanity can grow together as one.
