Esta dissertação trata da inserção de travestis e transexuais femininas no mercado de trabalho formal, no contexto da sociedade de classes atual. O texto uitliza o método do materialismo histórico-dialético, tendo como pilar inicial o estudo dos conceitos elaborados por Marx, recorrendo-se a autores que dialogam com tal filósofo. Neste primeiro momento, categorias como exército industrial de reserva e lumpemproletariado perpassam todo o debate feito ao longo da dissertação. O segundo pilar estruturante deste estudo diz respeito ao debate referente às questões de gênero, em sua interseção com as questões de classe social. Busca-se identificar a origem histórica das opressões, para em um momento posterior compreender como elas são apropriadas atualmente para justificar uma maior intensificação da exploração econômica da parcela da população sobre a qual incidem as opressões de maneira geral, e a opressão transfóbica, em específico. Por fim, estes dois ramos do texto se imbricam de maneira mais evidente quando se busca analisar o Programa Transcidadania da Prefeitura de São Paulo, objeto principal do presente estudo. São analisados os pontos positivos e as limitações de tal Programa, apontando-se ao final para a impossibilidade de superação das opressões na sociedade de classes. Diante das limitações inerentes do Programa Transcidadania (e de qualquer outro programa de assistência social similar), evidencia-se seu caráter paliativo e incompleto, apontando-se para a necessidade de elaboração de uma sociedade não baseada em classes sociais, caso se queira acabar de maneira completa e definitiva com todos os tipos de opressão.

This thesis discusses the inclusion of travestites and female transsexuals into the formal labour market, in the context of the present class society. The text uses the dialectical and historical materialism method, taking as initial pillar the study of the concepts elaborated by Marx, invoking authors that dialogue with this philosopher; categories such as industrial reserve army and lumpenproletariat cut across the entire debate held throughout this thesis. The second structuring pillar of this study concerns the debate related to gender questions, in their intersection with social class questions. The purpose is to identify the historical origin of oppression, in order to subsequently understand how it is assumed nowadays, aiming to justify a greater intensification of economic exploitation of the population that suffers such oppression. Finally, these two branches of the text overlap in a more evident way when seeking to analyze the Programa Transcidadania (Trans Citizenship Program) of the São Paulo City Hall, main object of the present study. The positive and negative points and constraints of such program will be analyzed, showing in the end the impossibility of overcoming the oppression in the class society. In face of the constraints involved in the Programa Transcidadania (and of any other similar program), its palliative and incomplete character is evident, showing the need to build a society not based in social classes, if is desired to put an end to any kind of oppression in a complete and definite way, particularly the transphobic oppression.
