Abstract in English
This thesis argues that Brazilian international lawyers constitute an academic-professional community with recognizable and characteristic elements. Using the metaphor of Oscar Schachter ("Invisible School of International Lawyers") to describe the professional community of International Law - which, given a common academic and professional intellectual project, would have decisive influence in spheres of government - will be analyzed elements of the work of Brazilian international lawyers, aiming to gauge the reciprocal influence of academic activity in the official channels of the State, spaces of communication and scientific and academic collaboration on International Law and impact of the action in the cases involving the country in the jurisprudence of regional system of Human Rights Humans. In the end, it will be sought to verify if these characters of the action of Brazilian international jurists can be interpreted as possessing a collective sense of purpose and, thus, characterizing an Invisible School among the professional community of International Law in Brazil.
