A presente pesquisa objetiva analisar a escassa participação da mulher no Legislativo Federal, mesmo após a Constituição Federal de 1988. Neste contexto, examinará a atual segregação da mulher no Parlamento do país, observando se há um padrão de preconceito de gênero, interligado com outras discriminações e desrespeitando os direitos humanos. Assim, visa estudar qual o papel do Estado e do Direito e qual a melhor estratégia para suprimir a subrepresentação feminina, aperfeiçoando a democracia e garantindo que as mulheres também participem ativamente da política congressista.

This research aims to analyze the scarce participation of women in the Federal Legislature, even after the Federal Constitution of 1988. In this context, it will examine the current segregation of women in the countrys Parliament, observing whether there is a pattern of gender prejudice, interconnected with other discriminations and disrespecting human rights. Thus, it focus to study the role of the State and Law and the best strategy to suppress female underrepresentation, improving democracy and ensuring that women also actively participate in congressional politics.
