Abstract in English
Productivity can be conceptualized as the quantity of product generated with a certain quantity of a specific factor. In other words, productivity growth allows that more wealth is generated with the same quantity of a certain factor. Considering the fact that the economic growth and, consequently, national development will be increasingly dependent on productivity growth, studying deeply the subject is a task extremely important. This paper seeks to analyze whether the search for productivity growth, widely treated in the economic field, has been incorporated by the brazilian law, especially by the Brazilian Constitution of 1988, as well as in what way this would have ocurred.
