Abstract in English
Due to its importance in social, economic and environmental aspects, the hydrographic basin is considered by several authors as the fundamental unit for the management and conservation of water resources. Environmental education within schools, aimed at raising awareness of water resources, with the hydrographic basin as a reference, is of paramount importance for the conservation of springs and springs. In this context, environmental perception is essential when assessing and problematizing the students' relationship with the natural environment where they are inserted and proposing solutions to solve socio-environmental challenges and conflicts. Through practical and theoretical classes, concepts of environmental education were worked with students from the 7th year of a school on the outskirts of São Carlos-SP. The students evaluated the chemical and physical parameters of the stream of the main watershed in the region around the school and performed analyzes of water quality in the classroom. Through participatory mapping, they collectively produced socioenvironmental maps that served as the basis for the production of a digital game, in RPG format, which will serve as didactic material for the school, in future projects.
