Desde o século passado conceitos como "sustentabilidade", "desenvolvimento sustentável" e "responsabilidade social corporativa" começaram a ser parte das teorias organizacionais e das pesquisas científicas mais recentes, como vários autores têm argumentado. Desde o ano de 2013, quando a ONU começou a discutir a Agenda 2030 para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, onde se incluiu a declaração de 17 Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) e 169 metas, sempre existiu um foco no esforço dos governos e países para cumprir esses objetivos. No entanto, com o enorme potencial e visão dos ODS, existem lacunas relacionada à gestão da informação por parte das instituições de alto nível, bem como o desconhecimento desses ODS na sociedade e o papel das organizações como promotoras e atores para atingir os ODS. Para resolver esse problema, este trabalho toma como base a pesquisa feita por Barrantes-Briceño e Santos (2019) para estudar, complementar e melhorar o Modelo de Excelência em Gestão do Conhecimento, rebatizado como KMEM21, criado com o fim de ser um indicador, medidor e ferramenta para avaliar como e quais ODS da ONU estão sendo atingidos em organizações brasileiras, indicando por meio de conceitos relacionados à Gestão do Conhecimento quais outros potenciais ODS podem ser atingidos, ajudando a direcionar as organizações para um Desenvolvimento Sustentável ótimo. A metodologia aplicada foi um questionário de 40 perguntas tipo survey que permitiu avaliar, com uma tabela de pontuações, a porcentagem que as organizações alcançaram em relação ao cumprimento cada ODS. No total, 5 organizações responderam o questionário, e os resultados obtidos apresentam observações destacáveis quanto ao modelo. Em alguns casos houve divergências entre os relatórios das organizações com os resultados alcançados no KMEM21, em outros, o modelo provou estar alinhado com a visão que as organizações têm respeito ao cumprimento interno dos ODS. Mostrando que o KMEM21 é uma ferramenta com potencial para ser aplicado de forma prática e poderá apresentar resultados fieis que reflitam a realidade das organizações a favor do cumprimento dos ODS.

Since the last century, concepts such as "sustainability", "sustainable development" and "corporate social responsibility" began to be part of organizational theories and more recent scientific research, as several authors have argued. Since 2013, when the UN began to discuss the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which included the declaration of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets, there has always been a focus on the efforts of governments and countries to meet those goals. However, with the huge potential and vision of the SDGs, there are gaps related to information management by high-level institutions, as well as the lack of knowledge of these SDGs in society and the role of organizations as promoters and actors to achieve the SDGs. To solve this problem, this work builds on the research done by Barrantes-Briceño and Santos (2019) to study, complement and improve the Knowledge Management Excellence Model, renamed as KMEM21, created with the aim of being an indicator, measurer and tool to assess how and which UN SDGs are being achieved in Brazilian organizations, indicating through concepts related to Knowledge Management which other potential SDGs can be achieved, helping to guide organizations towards an optimal Sustainable Development. The methodology applied was a 40-question survey-type questionnaire that allowed evaluating, with a table of scores, the percentage that organizations achieved in relation to meeting each SDG. In total, 5 organizations answered the questionnaire, and the results obtained show outstanding observations regarding the model. In some cases, there were divergences between the organizations' reports and the results achieved in the KMEM21, in others, the model proved to be in line with the organizations' vision regarding internal compliance with the SDGs. Showing that KMEM21 is a tool with the potential to be applied in a practical way and can present faithful results that reflect the reality of organizations in favor of meeting the SDGs.
