Abstract in English
The present study considered government measures during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as social isolation in educational institutions in Brazil, and the resulting variations in performance, focusing on the Department of Production Engineering at EESC/USP (SEP), in period from 2015 to 2021. The central objective was to evaluate the evolution of the SEP's efficiency during this period and compare the levels of resilience between teachers and students. To achieve these objectives, the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) methodology was used to analyze efficiency, which revealed the absence of significant fluctuations throughout the studied period. Furthermore, the Wagnild and Young resilience scale was applied, which demonstrated reliability with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.84. This coefficient allowed us to consider the applicability of the proposed method as adequate. The SEP efficiency analysis indicated that there was no deficit during the pandemic period and the application of the resilience scale allowed theidentification of in which dimensions the two groups studied, students and teachers, wereequivalent in resilience skills.
