Abstract in English
Accuracy and stability performance increases has always been a demand in time and frequency metrology, applications such as telecommunication systems and global positioning, industrial calibration and scientific metrology, require a high performance instrument and small dimensions. Due to this, the transportable compact frequency standard, the purpose of this work, is a system that use cold atoms seeking compactness and robustness and works with a temporal principle, in that, the different stages of the operation happen in one place: inside the microwave cavity. This kind of operation allows us to implement a more compact pattern in which different interactions occur in the same region of the apparatus. In this sense, it is necessary to redefine all the instrumentation associated with the experiment. This work presents an overview of the topology we are adopting for the new system. It also shows details of its implementation in the context of dedicated instrumentation systems. In addition, a study of the main compact frequency standards under development or already on an industrial scale is carried out.
