Abstract in English
This is a work in the field of Production Engineering in which was studied one of the oldest forms of the Textile Production process: the separatism. The separatism, in this study, is seen as a strategy form the competitiveness in business, for it is one of the most traditional means for increasing the textile productiveness. For the global markets of our times and mainly for Brazil, whose textile industry was nearly extinguished in the 90s, the separatism was "rediscovered" in order to push up the competitiveness based on cost reduction and on improvement of quality for the products
