O homem utiliza o fogo para cozinhar há muito tempo. O fogão a gás faz parte de sua vida desde pequeno. Existe uma tendência de crescimento do consumo de gás liquefeito de petróleo e gás natural, substituindo a energia elétrica. Há portanto a necessidade de se economizar combustíveis gasosos. Uma das maneiras é aprimorando os aparelhos que utilizam gás para aumentar sua eficiência. Porém, não existem muitos trabalhos de pesquisa nesta área. Propõem-se, neste trabalho, fazer um levantamento da teoria que envolve a combustão de hidrocarbonetos, analisar os itens responsáveis pela combustão em queimadores de mesa de fogões domésticos, analisar a metodologia conhecida no mercado para análise de queimadores de fogões, equacionar o funcionamento destes itens e propor orientações e equacionamentos para projeto de queimador de mesa para fogões

The mankind has used the fire for a long time to cook.The gas range (gas stove) takes part on his life since he was a child. There is a tendence to increase the use of liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas, using them to substitute the electrical energy. Then there is the necessity to preserve the gasous fuels. One way to do this is to develop the appliances that use gas to increase their efficency. But there is not much research on this area it is proposed, in this research, to study the teory about the combustion of hidrocarbons., to analyse the items affecting combustion in a cook top burner of gas ranges, to analyse the known methodology to test burners of gas ranges, to develop equations to ex:plain the functioning of these items, and to make suggestions and propouse equations to develop a cook top burner of gas ranges.
