Abstract in English
In this work, a non-linear formulation of the boundary element method has been developed to analyse numerically damaged solids, taking into account the strain localization phenomenon. Two damage models are used, being one of them particularly applied to concrete materials. The regularization of the local models is introduced by the concept of non-local integral, aiming the mess dependency elimination that may appear if the local models are used. The proposed implicit formulation is written in terms of domain strain variables and is based on the consistent tangent operator - CTO, which is derived from the non-linear model constitutive relations. The formulation is extended to consider the arc-length scheme combined with the equilibrium equations of the boundary element method to make possible the analysis of solids exhibiting snap-back effects. A general constrained equation even more general than the arc-length one is also introduced. An improved version of the boundary element-finite element method combination is also discussed and implemented to analyse reinforced solids. The least square method is adopted to reduce the number of redundant equations obtained by adopting different approximation for displacements and interface forces. An appropriate non-linear bolting model is considered to control the interface force between matrix and fibers, introducing therefore the relative displacement variable in the coupling equations. The resulting formulation allow analysing damaged bodies reinforced by fibers and taking into account the bolting conditions between matrix and fibers.
