Abstract in English
There are between brazilian (ABNT: J\tffi-33) and american (ASTM: D-698) standards, both about soil compaction, some differences in the compaction energy. To verify if these differences modify the results of the tests were perfomed laboratory compaction tests with three different soils: two sandy, one with less 12% of clay and other with 34% of clay, and one clayey with 20% of sand. The tests were perfomed with moisture content varying within the interval ± 3% of optimun and do not reusing the soil; other cares were taking during the tests. The results of each test are showed and there are sensitive differences between the standards, principally for the sandy soiL
