Neste trabalho são apresentados subsídios objetivando compreender - a partir de um quadro de referência que é o próprio processo de produção e acumulação capitalista - a problemática da habitação popular na cidade - acampamento de Ilha Solteira, caso " sui generis" de implantação de cidade, concebida desde o início como núcleo urbano permanente, mas com a função prévia de servir como acampamento de obras na construção da usina hidrelétrica de Ilha Solteira. Assim, o trabalho se divide em três partes: - Na primeira parte são abordados de uma forma genérica todos os mecanismos inerentes ao processo de produção habitacional no sistema capitalista e os aspectos relacionados com a origem e a evolução da cidade-acampamento, levando-se em consideração a sua especificidade. - Na segunda parte são analisadas, a casa como produto final desse processo e, com caráter específico, a intervenção dos principais agentes e as suas inter-relações dentro do processo produtivo habitacional popular de Ilha Solteira. - Na terceira e última parte, apresentam-se as conclusões de correntes da avaliação dos fatores determinantes da problemática, num processo de análise e de síntese da lógica capitalista.

ln thts work we present elements to help in the understanding - from a framework which is in itself the capitalistic process of production and wealth accumulation - of the housing problem in the encampment -city of Ilha Solteira a very peculiar case of city development, which was conceived from the start as a permanent urban nucleus, but with the pre-assigned function of beeing the work - encampment in the construction of Ilha Solteira hydrelectric power plant. The work is divided into three parts. In · the first one we discuss, in a general way, all the mechanisms present to the process of house production in the capitalistic system as well as the aspects related to the creation and evolution of the encampment -city, taking into account all the specific aspects of the case. In the second part we analyze the house as the final product of this process and, in a particular way, the intervention of the main agents of this process and their inter-relations in the productive popular housing process of Ilha Solteira. In the third and last part, we present the conclusions resulting from the assessment of the factors that are the causes of the problem; it constitutes an and synthesis of the capitalistic logic.
