Abstract in English
The change in the role of women in society, and consequently, their sexual behavor has led to na encrease in the incidence of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Among these, STI stands out Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection because of its high prevalence and consistent association with the development of cervical cancer. The treatment of cervical cancer precursor lesions is effective in preventing progression to invasive cancer, but it can have repercussions on women's health and compromise their reproductive future, decrease quality of life (QV), and interfere with sexual function (FS) of these women.
