Abstract in English
This research proposes the investigation of affective design as a creation resulting from the process of direct experience of the world. In a historical-political moment of division, in which the way of life in today's society has become unsustainable and the human being has moved away from direct experience with the world around him, affective design can be a way to regain that experience. Thus, the objective of this research was to outline the concept of affective design and find the formal characteristics of this language, allowing familiarization with the creative processes that involve it. According to Merleau-Ponty, the child, up to a certain age, relates mostly in an affective way with the world and, therefore, has all the expressive forms guided by this affection. Thus, drawing activities were carried out with children from kindergarten II (5 years old) at EMEI Armando de Arruda Pereira located in Praça da República, in the city center of São Paulo. From the experience of the activities and the analysis of the results obtained, four formal characteristics of the affective design were identified.
