Diante da iminente ruína do conjunto edificado para o Santapaula Iate Clube, projetado pelos arquitetos Vilanova Artigas e Carlos Cascaldi em 1961, esta pesquisa investiga uma metodologia de projeto que aborde a importância em reconhecer o objeto edificado para projetar. Dessa forma, a pesquisa busca contribuir tanto para prática arquitetônica em preexistências quanto à recuperação das construções projetadas para o clube, abandonado há mais de 30 anos.

In the face of the imminent ruin of the Santapaula Iate Clubes building complex, designed by the architects Vilanova Artigas and Carlos Cascaldi in 1961, this research investigates a design method that takes account of the importance of recognizing the built object to design. Therefore, this research seeks to contribute to the architectural practice of building on the built as well as to revive and recover the old clubs buildings, which is abandoned since the middle of the 1980s.
