Existe certa dificuldade para novos arquitetos diferenciar o conceito de conceber e dimensionar uma estrutura para um projeto de arquitetura. Conceber não significa dimensionar, mas sim perceber a proporção das peças estruturais e construtivas, e sua relação plástica com a forma e o espaço gerado e, assim, identificar o sistema mais adequado que poderá materializar o objeto em criação. Por definição, forma é a configuração física característica de um objeto, como decorrência da estruturação das suas partes. O objetivo deste trabalho é contribuir para a compreensão de que, relacionado ao processo de construção da forma, a concepção da estrutura e a arquitetura, em alguns casos, nascem juntas, dando forma a uma ideia e possibilitando sua existência. Com esta abordagem, será desenvolvido estudo de caso de projeto de arquitetura existente e já construído, a fim de analisar a concepção da estrutura no projeto de arquitetura e, se possível, a relação do arquiteto com o engenheiro, durante esse processo.

There is some difficulty for new architects to differentiate the concept of designing and dimensioning a structure for an architectural project. To conceive does not mean to dimension, but to perceive the proportion of structural and constructive pieces, and their plastic relation with the shape and the space generated and, thus, to identify the most appropriate system that can materialize the object being created. By definition, shape is the physical configuration characteristic of an object, as a result of the structuring of its parts. The objective of this work is to contribute to the understanding that, related to the process of construction of the form, the design of the structure and architecture, in some cases, are born together, giving shape to an idea and enabling its existence. With this approach, a case study of an existing and already constructed architecture project will be developed in order to analyze the design of the structure in the architectural design and, if possible, the relationship of the architect with the engineer, during this process.
