Abstract in English
The study of architecture implies understanding the breadth of issues that permeate it, ranging from functional and practical themes to the more abstract and metaphysical. This work takes into consideration the complexity of these themes and creates a varied panorama when it comes to theoretical reference, bringing authors with approaches about imagination, creativity, architectural drawing, among other related themes. The research procedure is considered fundamentally qualitative and based on project reflection, as it is based, in general, on interpretative analyses of case studies. The research seeks to identify and understand processes, aspects and project solutions characteristic of two works by the architect Enric Miralles: the Cemetery Park of Igualada designed with Carme Pinós, and the Renovation of the City Hall of Utrecht elaborated with Benedetta Tagliabue. The studies deal the themes: context, concept, geometric and spatial composition, program and hierarchy of spaces, circulation and access, materiality, records and representation techniques, symbols, (re)drawings, as well as iconographic, morphological and documental analyses. Furthermore, this work contemplates working on a series of diversified graphic and textual documents in such a way as to contribute specifically to the proposed subjects.
