O cotidiano da metrópole contemporânea apresenta o aprofundamento de um estado crítico, um mal-estar generalizado, que se esboça desde a modernidade e que penetra insidiosamente em todos os níveis da reprodução social, obscurecendo qualquer perspectiva de sua superação. Essa hipótese considera que há um movimento coordenado e materializado na forma metropolitana, que impede a ascensão do urbano o conjunto de relações transformadas e transformadoras da vida social e que é baseado na homogeneização e mercantilização generalizadas, reproduzindo as condições de sobrevida do capital. Sabe-se que o espaço desempenha aí um papel relevante, de onde repousa a investigação sobre sua produção e os agentes que a envolvem, incluindo o papel de arquitetos e urbanistas. Henri Lefebvre, filósofo e sociólogo francês, e Rodrigo Lefèvre, arquiteto brasileiro, contribuíram nesta investigação com (im)previsões que se conectam à esta condição do presente e que podem ser referenciadas aqui em três pontos: primeiramente, por suas presciências em relação à instrumentalização do espaço (pelo capital) e por vislumbrarem utopias (im)possíveis em direção à sua negação; em segundo lugar, pelas imprevisões de aspectos contidos na contemporaneidade, que de algum modo sinalizam aprofundamentos das crises indicadas por eles (urbana, da arquitetura); e, por último, pela extensão de suas elaborações utópicas que, apreendidas e (re)situadas no contexto contemporâneo, podem fornecer importantes caminhos para repensar antigos e novos horizontes de ruptura e desenvolvimento de uma práxis aplicada à produção do espaço (urbano). Neste ponto, as noções de comum e antivalor adquirem relevância ao iluminar as duas contribuições e potencializá-las no enfrentamento das contradições aportadas pela dominação do capitalismo financeiro neoliberal, em nível global e total, caracterizada pela apropriação mercantil de todos os aspectos de reprodução da vida. Mas é preciso também sublinhar que há na obra dos dois autores importantes indicações que permitem enriquecer os movimentos suscitados por estas noções, a partir da perspectiva do espaço e da arquitetura. Nesta intersecção se situa uma direção: retomar o urbano como conceito vital para transformação espacial e social e como um comum a ser preservado pelos envolvidos, constantemente silenciados neste mal-estar presente e constante da contemporaneidade.

The daily life of the contemporary metropolis presents the deepening of a critical state, a generalized malaise, which has been outlined since modernity and which insidiously penetrates all levels of social reproduction, obscuring any prospect of overcoming it. This hypothesis considers that there is a coordinated movement materialized in the metropolitan form, which prevents the rise of the urban - the set of transformed and transforming relations of social life - and which is based on generalized homogenization and commodification, reproducing the conditions to the survival of capital. It is known that space plays a relevant role here, where is placed the investigation on its production and the agents that involve it, including the role of architects and urban planners. Henri Lefebvre, a French philosopher and sociologist, and Rodrigo Lefèvre, a Brazilian architect, contributed to this investigation with (un)predictions that connect to this present condition and that can be referenced here in three points: Firstly, for their prescience about the instrumentalization of space (by capital) and for glimpsing (im)possible utopias towards its negation; secondly, for the unpredictable aspects contained in contemporaneity, which somehow indicate the deepening of the crises visualized by them (urban crisis, architecture crisis); and, finally, by the extension of their utopian elaborations that, apprehended and (re)situated in the contemporary context, can provide important ways to rethink old and new horizons of disruptions and the development of a praxis applied to the production of (urban) space. At this point, the notions of common and anti-value acquire relevance, illuminating the two contributions and enhancing them to face the contradictions raised by neoliberal financial capitalism domination, at a global and total level, characterized by the mercantile appropriation of all aspects of life reproduction. But it is also necessary to emphasize that there are important indications in the work of the two authors that allow us to enrich the movements raised by these notions, from the perspective of space and architecture. In this intersection, a direction is located: to resume the urban as a vital concept for spatial and social transformation and as a common to be preserved by those involved, constantly silenced in this present and constant malaise of contemporaneity.
