Esta pesquisa propõe uma reflexão prática e teórica sobre o Ciclo Básico da escola soviética Ateliês Superiores de Arte e Técnica, Vkhutemas, experiência pedagógica que ocorreu em Moscou de 1920 a 1930, no contexto da Revolução Russa. Nesse momento, estudantes oriundos do proletariado russo foram introduzidos de modo experimental às ferramentas projetuais de arte, design e arquitetura. Por meio de práticas interdisciplinares, os alunos eram estimulados a vivenciar radicalmente a criação, em que exercícios sem caráter utilitarista e com a noção de autoria diluída conformavam o chamado método objetivo de ensino. Através da investigação das metodologias das disciplinas propedêuticas intituladas Cor, Desenho, Volume e Espaço, principalmente sob influência dos professores construtivistas, buscamos elaborar e aplicar novos exercícios com alunos de arquitetura entre os anos de 2020 e 2022, com o objetivo de responder à seguinte pergunta: a partir dessa experiência pioneira do início do século XX, o que podemos trazer para o ensino de design e arquitetura hoje?

This project proposes a practical and theoretical investigation on the Basic Division of Vkhutemas, the Higher State Artistic and Technical Workshops, that took place in Moscow from 1920 and 1930, during the Russian Revolution. At Vkhutemas, students from the Russian proletariat were introduced to art, architecture and design tools. Through interdisciplinary practices, students were encouraged to experience creation through the so-called objective method, consisting of exercises without a utilitarian character and with a diluted sense of authorship. By investigating Vkhutemas methodologies of the propaedeutics subjects entitled Color, Graphics, Volume and Space mainly under the influence of constructivist teachers we develop and apply new exercises with architecture students between the years of 2020 and 2022, seeking to answer the following question: what can we leverage from this pioneering experience from the beginning of the 20th century to the teaching of design and architecture today?
