Abstract in English
This research proposes to analyze the field of Forensic Architecture, focusing on the work of the agency Forensic Architecture (FA), in order to understand how architecture can be a valuable tool for interpreting contemporary events and how this practice emerges within the Latin American context. The research studies the framework that supports the agency's development, including Guilherme Wisnik's concept of Mist, as well as concepts of truth, image, and surveillance in contemporary society. Through theoretical analysis, case studies, and practical investigative experiences, the research seeks to define Forensic Architecture as a methodology capable of navigating the contemporary mist with effective impact. through the creation of a new epistemology that interconnects different fields of knowledge to address state violence. Finally, the study examines the new languages of Forensic Architecture's practice and theory in Latin America, with the establishment of new agencies that approach the practice from different perspectives.
