Este trabalho investiga a essência do lazer urbano, pela mediação e suporte do Baixo Augusta e da Vila Madalena, situados na cidade de São Paulo, ambos selecionados em virtude ao papel que exercem enquanto símbolos de divertimento, pelo impacto psíquico (cultural e social), que catalisa grande público. A hipótese verte-se sobre os efeitos de sedução dos lugares, que asseguram um lugar apropriado como parte de estratégias replicantes: do objeto real para o objeto modelo. O objetivo é refletir como esses núcleos urbanos se tornaram o que são hoje, não apenas do ponto de vista da morfologia urbana e dos usos que o conjunto arquitetônico recebe, mas os motivos de se tornarem destinos tão atrativos. Os procedimentos metodológicos tomam por base o Estudo de Caso: que se inicia de modo comparativo, com levantamentos diversos para melhor entendimento do todo e escolha das áreas de estudo. Prossegue-se com a etapa de indução, pela observação, comparação e generalização dos fenômenos estudados, essencial do ponto de vista qualitativo e quantitativo, para responder as indagações de interesse da pesquisa. Dá-se continuidade ao estudo de forma dedutiva, por meio das conclusões entre os resultados obtidos nas diferentes áreas de estudo. O trabalho segue com a Avaliação Pós-Ocupação (APO), em função da validação das perspectivas pré-concebidas e das respostas encontradas. Após essas etapas foram feitas revisões de todo o material para selecionar as melhores estratégias para o aprofundamento e análise dos diferentes cenários e explorar os (meta)critérios teóricos-conceituais. A partir daí, pode-se estabelecer prerrogativas sobre o êxito dessas áreas e informar aos interessados no desenvolvimento desse tipo de agenciamento espacial, diretrizes para o planejamento e desenho urbano. Por fim, os resultados repousam na dicotomia: a ação pela não-ação, devido ao caráter descompromissado e liberto de quaisquer obrigações, próprio da ação lúdica, que envolve ser ela própria a liberdade. Nesse sentido, o pressuposto hedonista consubstanciado pelo teor dionisíaco e o apolíneo, respectivamente, prazeroso e belo não encontraram eco para ratificar e subsidiar futuros projetos.

This research deals with the essence of urban leisure, through the mediation and support of Baixo Augusta and Vila Madalena, both located in São Paulo city, due to the role they play, as symbols of fun, through their psychic (cultural and social) impact, which catalyzes large audiences. The hypothesis is based on the seduction effects of places, which ensure a positive impact as part of replicating strategies: from the real object to the model object. The aim to thought on: how these urban centers became what they are today, not only from the point of view of urban morphology and by the uses that the architectural ensemble receives, but the reasons for becoming such attractive destinations. The methodological procedures are based on the Case study research: design and methods: which starts with data collection, for a better understanding of the whole context, before choosing the study áreas, on comparative way. Therefore, inductive phase proceeds, to through on a observation, comparison and generalization the phenomena, aiming to qualitative and quantitative variable needed to answer any questions of interest fo this research. Then, the study continues by deductive mode, through comparisons between the results obtained in the different areas of study. Following the research with the Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE), due to the validation of preconceived perspectives and the answers found. After these phases, revisions were made to all the material to select the best strategies for deepening and analyzing the different scenarios and exploring the theoretical- conceptual by (meta)criteria established. Thenceforth, those prerogatives on the success of these areas can be established and those interested in the development of this type of spatial agency can be informed of guidelines for urban planning and design. Finally, the results get on the dichotomy: action by the non-action, typical of playful action, due to the uncompromising character and free from any obligations, which involves being freedom itself. In this sense, the hedonistic assumption substantiated by the Dionysian and Apollonian content, respectively, pleasurable and beautiful did not find an echo to ratify and subsidize future projects.
