A pesquisa buscou entender a relação das juventudes periféricas paulistanas com a cidade de São Paulo, a partir da compreensão da paisagem em que vivem. Participaram da pesquisa jovens estudantes da Educação de Jovens e Adultos e residentes na periferia da região noroeste da cidade. Assim, pretendeu-se abordar os conhecimentos referentes às vivências na paisagem e suas expectativas na cidade a partir de seus percursos, de suas experiências, além de entender como se apropriam, criam e recriam o espaço, saber sobre seus destinos, ausências, desejos e questões que os mobilizam. Para tanto, o referencial teórico ancorou-se no conhecimento transdisciplinar entre educação, os estudos da paisagem e do urbano, além dos saberes e experiências do cotidiano. Foi realizado um estudo colaborativo da paisagem por meio de uma metodologia participante. Essa participação ocorreu através da dinâmica dialógica-problematizadora para a compreensão da realidade, a qual se deu por meio de oficina pedagógica. Além disso, também foram realizadas entrevistas e a coleta de dados socioeconômicos dos jovens estudantes do CIEJA Perus 1. A partir das informações obtidas foi possível observar que os jovens apresentam dificuldades de ocupação da cidade de São Paulo, a maioria deles permanece em suas casas no tempo livre. Ao passo que circulam pela cidade, tendem a enfrentar as fronteiras marcadas pelas desigualdades, exclusão, preconceitos e racismo. Entretanto, nas diversas camadas de apropriação da cidade, ressignificam o espaço em busca de prazer e pertencimento. A partir dos resultados obtidos, foi possível concluir que os jovens periféricos se apropriam e circulam no espaço de forma restrita, mas buscam uma significação afirmativa com a cidade.

This work aimed to understand the relationship between São Paulo peripheral youth with São Paulo city, based on understanding of the landscape in which they live. Young Youth and Adult Education students and residents on the outskirts of northwest São Paulo city corresponded to the target audience of this work. Therefore, we intended to approach the knowledge referring to the experiences in the landscape and their expectations concerning the city from their course and experiences. In addition, we goal comprehend how such citizens appropriate, create, and recreate the space they live, for then realize their destinations, absences, desires, and questions that mobilize them. Concerning it, the theoretical framework has anchored in transdisciplinary knowledge between education, scenery, and urban studies, further to daily knowledge and experiences. A collaborative study regarding the landscape was carried out using participatory methods. Such participation took place through the dialogic-problematizing dynamics for understanding reality through a pedagogical workshop. Moreover, interviews and socioeconomic data were collected from the young students from Integrated Center for Youth and Adult Education, located in Perus, in São Paulo metropolitan region (CIEJA Perus 1). The data obtained allowed us to observe that peripherical young have issues in occupying São Paulo due to most of them remaining in their homes in their free time. Once they move around the city, such young people tend to face inequalities, exclusion, prejudice, and racism hurdling. Nevertheless, in the different layers regarding city appropriation, such students re-signify the space in search of pleasure and belonging. According to the data, it has been possible to conclude that periphery young people appropriate and circulate in space in a restricted way, but looking for affirmative meaning with the city.
