Abstract in English
This study was aimed at analyzing the use of computer resources in the teaching of Geometry, emphasizing the study of how space is represented in the area of Design. The analysis takes into account how the concepts of space have changed over time, as well as the historical influences that have promoted the development of projection systems used in spatial representation. The discipline of the Geometry of Solids from the Digital & Virtual Design course is considered as a case study to demonstrate the importance of modernization in the discipline of Geometry, focusing on the training of the designer, the discipline, the student, the teacher and the use of computer resources allied with traditional ones. An example involving the application of the principles of perspective using augmented reality is presented to reinforce the importance of the geometric concepts in the work of the digital and virtual designer. The study showed that the use of virtual models modifies the way the three-dimensional object is conceived, facilitating the students learning of how 3-D objects are represented, while the integration of the potentials of the physical and virtual supports contributes to the development of geometry instruction within the area of Design.
