A presente pesquisa procura problematizar as relações entre mudanças historiográficas ocorridas na forma de concepção da história da arquitetura no Brasil, principalmente a partir da década de 1980, e o processo de aquisição de coleções pela Seção Técnica de Materiais Bibliográficos da Biblioteca da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo (FAUUSP). Percebe-se que, naquele momento, ocorria a consolidação do programa de pós-graduação em arquitetura e urbanismo oferecido pela faculdade e a aproximação dos estudos em história da arquitetura das ciências humanas. Ainda, é possível entrever um progressivo distanciamento da prática projetual, que demarca a procura por parte dos pesquisadores por novos marcos analíticos e metodológicos. Conjuga-se a este percurso o aumento do número de pesquisas na área, assim como a diversificação de tipologias documentais utilizadas nas investigações acerca da história da arquitetura e dos diálogos travados com disciplinas do campo das humanidades como a sociologia, a antropologia, a economia e a história. Para compreender as relações entre a mudança historiográfica descrita e os processos de aquisição de coleções pela biblioteca da FAUUSP, a pesquisa toma como referência as informações da base de dados desta biblioteca, estabelecendo um diálogo com a produção intelectual de pesquisadores de destaque da própria FAUUSP ligados ao estudo da história da arquitetura. Procura-se, por fim, compreender a complexidade que o acervo bibliográfico da biblioteca da faculdade representa para a construção de matrizes teóricas diversas, buscando realçar os sentidos articulados através do acervo da biblioteca e questões historiográficas que atravessaram as produções do período.

The current research aims to problematize the relations between historiographical changes that occurred in the conception of the history of architecture in Brazil, especially after the 1980s, and the process of acquisition of collections by the Technical Section of Bibliographic Materials of the Library of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (FAUUSP). At that period the consolidation of the graduate program in architecture and urbanism offered by the school and the approximation of the studies in history of architecture to the human sciences were in progress. Still, It is possible to observe a progressive distancing from the projectual practice that marks the search activities, on the part of researchers, for new analytical and methodological frameworks. This path is accompanied by the increase in the number of studies in the field, as well as the diversification of document typologies used in investigations on the history of architecture, and the dialogues established with various disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, economy and history. In order to understand the relations between the described historiographical change and the processes of acquisition of collections by the library, this research takes as reference the information from its database, establishing a dialogue with the intellectual production of prominent faculty members linked to the study of history of architecture. It seeks, finally, to understand the complexity of this bibliographic collection to the construction of various theoretical frameworks.
