A tese propõe uma investigação sobre os espaços de lazer da cidade de São Paulo ocupados e utilizados, em especial, por pessoas homossexuais e bissexuais entre os anos de 1978 e 1987. A pesquisa é guiada pela hipótese de que a infraestrutura de espaços de lazer mapeada, de alguma maneira, permite que esse território permaneça, até os dias de hoje, ocupado por esta população. O objetivo geral da pesquisa é compreender as contribuições dos sujeitos pesquisados para as transformações da nossa noção de urbanidade e para a nossa experiência urbana. Especificamente, a pesquisa busca desenvolver um mapa que mostre os espaços de São Paulo frequentados pelos dissidentes sexuais entre 1978 e 1987, discutir como a cidade é capaz de transformar e influenciar as expressões de subjetividade dos sujeitos e, no vetor contrário, como eles transformam a experiência na cidade para todos. Além disso, a pesquisa também pretende identificar marcos dissidentes na cidade de São Paulo, registrando suas histórias. A tese é o resultado de uma revisão bibliográfica que inclui obras que tratam do tema da sexualidade dentro do campo da Arquitetura e do Urbanismo, passando pelos trabalhos de George Chauncey e Robert Beachy, que mesclam a história das cidades com a dos grupos sexualmente dissidentes. Também faz parte da metodologia do trabalho o acesso a acervos físicos e digitais que permitiram uma investigação minuciosa das 41 edições do jornal Lampião da Esquina, das 13 edições do boletim ChanacomChana e do livro O Negócio do Michê. A partir dessas obras foi possível produzir o referido mapeamento de acesso livre além de quadros, tabelas e discussões sobre os espaços estudados que são apresentados no decorrer da tese. Esta obra constatou que a cidade de São Paulo, através de seus territórios e grupos, influencia as expressões de subjetividade dos sujeitos, permitindo novas experimentações, além de elaborar sobre o impacto dos sujeitos não heteronormativos no espaço da cidade, apontando como a presença de seus corpos altera a paisagem e transforma a experiência urbana do outro. Os sujeitos pesquisados mostram como é possível (re)pensar um espaço urbano através do prazer, do encontro, do desejo e da fantasia como partes fundamentais da vida cotidiana. Por fim, o mapa, que faz parte do trabalho, tornou possível a visualização de marcos importantes para a memória dos dissidentes sexuais, sendo uma potente ferramenta para o desenvolvimento de estratégias que visem fortalecer uma memória coletiva dos corpos sexualmente dissidentes na cidade.

The thesis proposes an investigation on the leisure spaces in the city of São Paulo occupied and used, especially by homosexual and bisexual people between the years 1978 and 1987. The research is guided by the hypothesis that the infrastructure of leisure spaces mapped, in some way, allows this territory to remain, to this day, occupied by this population. The general objective of the research is to understand the contributions of the researched subjects to the transformations of our notion of urbanity and to our urban experience. Specifically, the research seeks to develop a map that shows the spaces in São Paulo frequented by sexual dissidents between 1978 and 1987, discuss how the city is capable of transforming and influencing the expressions of subjectivity of the subjects and, in the opposite direction, how they transform the experience in the city for everyone. In addition, the research also aims to identify dissident landmarks in the city of São Paulo, recording their stories. The thesis is the result of a bibliographic review that includes works that deal with the theme of sexuality within the field of Architecture and Urbanism, going through the works of George Chauncey and Robert Beachy, which blend the history of cities with that of sexually dissident groups. It is also part of the methodology of the work to access physical and digital collections that allowed for a meticulous investigation of the 41 editions of the newspaper "Lampião da Esquina", the 13 editions of the bulletin "ChanacomChana" and the book "O Negócio do Michê". From these works, it was possible to produce the mentioned mapping - freely accessible - as well as charts, tables, and discussions on the studied spaces that are presented throughout the thesis. This work found that the city of São Paulo, through its territories and groups, influences the expressions of subjectivity of the subjects, allowing for new experimentations, as well as elaborating on the impact of non-heteronormative subjects on the space of the city, pointing out how the presence of their bodies alters the landscape and transforms the urban experience of others. The researched subjects show how it is possible to (re)think an urban space through pleasure, encounter, desire, and fantasy as fundamental parts of everyday life. Finally, the map, which is part of the work, made it possible to visualize important landmarks for the memory of sexual dissidents, being a powerful tool for the development of strategies aimed at strengthening a collective memory of sexually dissident bodies in the city.
