Esta tese objetiva dar visibilidade à mulher na história das cidades, com destaque para a mulher produtora de espaços transformadores, exemplicicando as intervenções destas na área metropolitana de São Paulo e principalmente na cidade de São Paulo. analisa o que significou a luta pelas Delegacias de Defesa da Mulher e pelas creches, e seu impacto na malha urbana; os lugares de mulher, a participação das mulheres e o olhar do ponto de vista de gênero dos mutirões de construção e de urbanização de favelas. Reflete sobre planejar e projetar como um ato ideológico, político e social, e portanto reprodutor do status quo ou da transformação. Discute e apresenta propostas de planejar e projetar com a preocupação de garantir a participação das/os interessadas/os diretamente e da não reprodução do patriarcalismo e dos arquétipos que reforçam a educação diferenciada e estimula a guerra de sexos, no espaço público e privado, aqui priorizando o espaço urbano; planejar e projetar ponto de vista das relações sociais de gênero. Encerra-se com a análise da incorporação da categoria gênero nos espaços de poder no Estado e com recomendações nas diversas esferas de poder.

This essay aims to give visibility to women in the history of cities, with emphasis on women producers of transforming spaces, with examples of their interventions in the metropolitan area of São Paulo, and especially in the city of São Paulo. It analyses the meaning of the claims and struggles for day nurseries and women defense police departments, and their impact in the city; women places, women participation and engagement, and the look over mutual-help housing and slum upgrading from a gender point of view. It considers planning and projecting as an ideological, politic and social act, and therefore breeding of the status quo, or of change. It presents and sicusses proposals of planning and projecting concerned on assuring the participation of those directly interested and the non-reproduction of patriarcalism and of archetypes that reinforce distinguished educations and stimulate sex war, in public and private space, focused here on urban space; planning and projecting from the point of view of gender social relations. It ends with the analysis of incorporation of gender in the Sate power and recommendations for the different levels of government power.
