Abstract in English
This thesis analyses the cultural contribution of modern architecture in America, pointing out its role in the process of acknowledgement and construction of identities and memories of the space. For that, a study has been made comparing poetries that were elaborated, in the United States of America, by the american architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and, in Brazil, by the architects Lina Bo Bardi, Vilanova Artigas and Paulo Mendes da Rocha, here designated as poetries of the dryness, constructions of languages sheltered at the imaginary spaces, immersed in a synchronized vision of the times discovered by the memory.
