Abstract in English
Scope: Study of the concept of the racionalization of space and the implications of this racionalization process in architectural principles, in the course of a period from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. Summary: Enquiry into the aesthetic principles of mathematical space linked to the study of various metric aesthesia orders (ancient and modem symmetry; proportion, measurement and regularity; perspective rigorism; etc.). The thesis is an historical reading in the literature of art on the precepts which provides a framework for an aesthetic reflection about space from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment (symmetria, proportio, eurhythmia, analogia, etc.). Delimiting the actual significances present in the formal syntax of the term space (mystic numerology, quantification, etc.) and in their various interacting levels, the thesis reviews approaches, hypotheses and paradigms established by historiography.
