O objetivo deste ensaio é propor uma requalificação, por meio do projeto de estruturas habitacionais, dos espaços vazios existentes na Área Central de São Paulo. Não se trata de elaborar um sistema construtivo alternativo ou estabelecer uma busca exaustiva de tipologias habitacionais, mas sugerir uma possível nova política de projeto, a partir de experiências e referencias concretas, verificando assim uma atitude possível em relação ao processo de deterioração da Área Central, no sentido de reverter este quadro.

An attempt to requalify, by means of the dwelling structures project, the empty spaces now surviving in the São Paulo Central Area, is the main objective of this essay. It is not about elaborating an alternative constructive system or establishing an exhaustive search for habitational typologies, but about suggesting a new possible project policy, based on concrete experiences and references, envisaging with it a workable attitude in relation to the process of deterioration of said Central Area, in the sense of reverting this tendency.
