Abstract in Portuguese
O trabalho é composto de: 1. Textos diversos. 2. Ensaios fotográficos. A. A cidade. B. As casas.

Abstract in English
1. Texts. The author, a professional photographer with B.A. in architecture from FAUUSP presents a historical chronology where facts, technological advances, the various movements, and works of major photographers provide a refreshing insight of photography as an autonomous art form. The works also contains some reflexions on the creative process of photography and its legitimate place in the visual arts world. Those relexions do not derive from a scientific approach of the subject matter, but are rather a direct consequence of the many questions and emotions that a photographer faces during the execution of his or her work. 2. Photographic essays. A. The city. B. The houses. Two photographic essays, each with 25 images, dealing with the relation between photography and architecture.
