Abstract in English
This project aimed to develop an extracurricular course in Stellar Astrophysics and teach it to 9th grade students of Elementary School II at EEFMT Profa. Maria Theodora Pedreira de Freitas of the Institute of Education Foundation of Barueri - FIEB and who were interested in the science, evaluating the previous knowledge of these students with an initial diagnostic evaluation. The execution of this project was carried out through the elaboration and application of the course followed by a final diagnostic evaluation, which would allow the analysis of the students development regarding the contents worked along the proposed didactic sequence. The methodology used for the development of the course was the proposal of a didactic sequence, covering the contents of Stellar Astrophysics and other important contents that are not usually taught in regular science classes, with the main focus being to offer students the opportunity to develop and arouse interest in the study of Sciences As a final product of this master's degree, a Didactic Sequence (SD) called Observe the stars and learn from them was developed, whose Astronomy contents were selected and applied with the support of external materials (slides and evaluation questionnaires). The course was taught over a period of 6 weeks with 2 weekly classes of 90 minutes. The methodology used in the analysis of the data consisted of the interpretation of the diagnostic questionnaires applied during the course, through Bardin's content analysis technique. The results obtained showed evidence of significant learning with conceptual evolution of students and growing interest in the area of Astronomy.
