Abstract in English
Entrepreneurial skills are fundamental to business success. Despite a growing body of literature in this field of knowledge, there are still uncertainties about women's entrepreneurial skills. Thus, this study aimed to identify the behaviors and the skills which contribute to the success of women business owners. For that, a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research was carried out. Primary data collection was performed through interviews supported by a semi-structured script with women entrepreneurs with consolidated businesses for more than 3.5 years. The collected data were submitted to content analysis, with the support of the MaxQDA software. The results allowed to identify the main entrepreneurial competencies divided into four categories: Personal, Relationship, Management and Opportunity Skills. These skill sets help women entrepreneurs through the challenges inherent in exercising female entrepreneurship. As a practical contribution, this research took a step forward in the issues involving Women's Entrepreneurial Skills, especially by proposing a model that can be used in the creation of educational strategies aimed at women entrepreneurs
