O Programa de Estudos do Futuro da Fundação Instituto de Administração da Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade da Universidade de São Paulo, realizou um Delphi com diversos executivos, consultores e outros profissionais de vários setores da indústria brasileira. Este Delphi tinha como objetivo principal, traçar um cenário macroeconômico para os próximos anos, para subsidiar o planejamento estratégico das empresas. Objetivou-se, nesta dissertação, pesquisar o grau de satisfação das pessoas que responderam às questões das rodadas Delphi, com a técnica Delphi em si, como instrumento de apoio ao planejamento estratégico das empresas. Para tanto, distribuíram-se questionários estruturados, não disfarçados e usando escala verbal balanceada (ordinal) a serem auto preenchidos, com o objetivo de colher informações sobre atributos pré-selecionados da técnica Delphi. Sentimentos experimentados durante a realização do Delphi e intenções comportamentais também foram objeto de pesquisa no mesmo questionário. A avaliação da satisfação fez-se através, principalmente, do modelo de Ponto Ideal. A principal conclusão é de que há evidências sugerindo que o grupo se sentiu satisfeito com a técnica Delphi. Entretanto, não há como se determinar o grau de satisfação. Recomenda-se, para futuro prosseguimento desta pesquisa, entrevistas em profundidade com os respondentes que têm experiência com outras técnicas de apoio ao planejamento estratégico, para que se possa realizar um estudo comparativo e, assim, definir o grau de satisfação com a técnica Delphi.

The Program for the Study of Future of the Institute of Administration Foundation of São Paulo University executed a Delphi involving executives, consultants and other professionals from a variety of Brazilian industrial sectors. The main objective of this Delphi was to develop a macroeconomic scenario for the next years in order to support strategic planning process of the firms. The following research aimed to understand the level of satisfaction with the Delphi technique as an instrument of strategic planning process in the view of the respondents of this Delphi. Structured and non-disguised questionnaires, using ordinal, verbal and balanced scale were distributed. These questionnaires were self filled out with beliefs about previously selected attributes of Delphi technique and its importance. Feelings experienced during the Delphi and behavioral intentions were researched too, through the same questionnaire. The evaluation of the satisfaction were made using, mainly, the Ideal Point Model. The main conclusion is that there is evidence suggesting that the group is satisfied with the Delphi technique, but nothing can be said about the level of this satisfaction. It is recommended, for the continuation of this research, deeper interviews with respondents that have experience with other strategic planning supporting Instruments, in order to perform a comparative study, and therefore define the satisfaction level with the Delphi technique.
