O principal tema de estudo desta dissertação é a comunicação organizacional, tema este que vem ganhando importância nos últimos tempos tanto nas empresas quanto nos estudos administrativos. As profundas mudanças que vêm ocorrendo nas organizações nos dias de hoje passam, necessariamente, por uma revisão e reestruturação da comunicação, considerada como fundamental para o sucesso destas mudanças. Neste trabalho, procuro estudar a comunicação organizacional não em sua dimensão instrumental - ou de disseminação de informações -, mas sim como forma de se perscrutar a ideologia sobre a qual se assenta uma determinada emissão comunicativa, caminho para conhecermos melhor a própria organização e os meios que ela utiliza para conseguir adesão a seus propósitos. Para isso, fiz uma análise do discurso de uma empresa, adaptando uma metodologia linguística - a análise do discurso - à uma metodologia utilizada nos estudos administrativos.

The main theme in this dissertation is organizational communication, which has lately become important in companies as well as in business management studies. The deep changes that are on course in organizations at present require some review necessarily. Besides, these changes need a restructuring of communication - which is said to be fundamental to sucess of these changes. Whithin the dissertation, I intend to study organizational communication not in its instrumental aspects - that is, dissemination of information - but as a way of looking into the ideology upon which a particular communicative emission is set. That is the way to know better the organization itself and the means by which it gets agreement to its aims. To achieve that, I analysed the discourse of a company by adapting a linguistic melhodology - the discourse analyses - to another methodology used in business management studies.
