Este trabalho é uma contribuição à teoria dos ajustamentos contábeis, entendendo-se como tal o conjunto de princípios e normas tendentes a tornar a contabilidade apta a resolver os problemas de registro, apuração e análise que ocorrem quando há variações de preços de bens e serviços numa economia.

This work is a contribution to the theory of accounting adjustments, being understood as such the set of principles and norms that tend to make accounting capable of solving the problems of registration, calculation and analysis that occur when there are variations in the prices of goods and services in a economy.
