Este estudo tem como objetivo principal contribuir para o desenvolvimento do potencial humano nas organizações, através da elaboração e validação de um instrumento diagnóstico das diferenças individuais baseado na teoria dos Tipos Psicológicos de Carl Gustav Jung. Uma vez elaborado o instrumento, foram realizadas etapas preliminares de pré-teste; apos os ajustes recomendados pelas primeiras fases, o instrumento foi submetido a uma amostra de duzentos e cinquenta e três sujeitos, executivos de cinco organizações brasileiras de diferentes naturezas, divididos em grupos de, no máximo, trinta e cinco sujeitos. Foram realizados workshops com o objetivo coletar os dados para a validação do instrumento, nos quais ocorreu a aplicação do inventario e a realização de uma técnica projetiva. Foram examinadas a validade de conteúdo, a precisão e a validade de constructo do instrumento. Foram utilizadas técnicas qualitativas e quantitativas para a verificação da validade; entre elas foi empregada, de modo inovador em validação de um questionário, a técnica da analise de conteúdo. Os resultados culminaram na validação do instrumento que se configurou extremamente adequado as aplicações sugeridas, em patamares equiparáveis e mesmo vantajosos a instrumentos similares existentes. Foram também discutidas as possibilidades de aplicação do instrumento as organizações, que indicam sua utilidade pratica nas questões de gestão de pessoas, e seu potencial de contribuição a criação de ambientes organizacionais mais produtivos e sadios.

This study aims to contribute to the development of human potential in organizations, through the development and validation of an instrument diagnosis of individual differences based on Carl's Psychological Types theory Gustav Jung. Once the instrument was elaborated, preliminary pre-test steps were carried out; after the adjustments recommended by the first phases, the instrument was submitted to a sample of two hundred and fifty-three subjects, executives from five organizations Brazilians of different natures, divided into groups of a maximum of thirty-five subjects. Workshops were held in order to collect data for the validation of the instrument, in which the inventory was applied and a technique projective. Content validity, precision and construct validity were examined. of the instrument. Qualitative and quantitative techniques were used for verification validity; among them it was used, in an innovative way, in the validation of a questionnaire, the technique of content analysis. The results culminated in the validation of the instrument that was configured extremely suitable for the suggested applications, at comparable levels and even to similar existing instruments. Possibilities of application of the instrument were also discussed. organizations, which indicate its practical usefulness in people management issues, and its potential to contribute to the creation of more productive organizational environments and healthy.
