O presente trabalho buscou estudar a relação entre a estrutura fundiária e as variações nos níveis de produto no Brasil e de suas cinco regiões durante o período de 2006 a 2017. A estrutura fundiária foi representada pelo índice de Gini para distribuição da posse da terra, o número total de estabelecimentos agropecuários por grupos de área total e a área média dos estabelecimentos agropecuários por grupos de área total. O produto, por sua vez, foi representado pelo Produto Interno Bruto municipal (PIB) e pelo Produto Agropecuário municipal (PIB Agro). Para atender a esse objetivo, foram estimados modelos de dados em painel para o Brasil e suas regiões, controlando-se os Efeitos Fixos. Foi observado que o índice de Gini se relaciona positivamente com o PIB e PIB Agro no Brasil e nas regiões Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste. No Nordeste essa relação mostrou-se negativa, enquanto no Norte foi estatisticamente não significativa. Mais especificamente, o número total de estabelecimentos e a área média dos estabelecimentos, sobretudo das maiores propriedades (>500 ha), mostraram-se positivamente associadas ao produto. Os resultados obtidos mostram-se de grande importância tanto para subsidiar regionalmente políticas públicas de promoção dos níveis de produto, quanto para políticas de reconfiguração da estrutura agrária brasileira.

The present work sought to study the relationship between the land structure and variations in product levels in Brazil and its five regions during the period from 2006 to 2017. The land structure was represented by the Gini index for the distribution of land ownership, the total number of agricultural establishments by total area groups and the average area of agricultural establishments by total area groups. The product, in turn, was represented by the municipal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the municipal Agricultural Product (GDP Agro). To meet this objective, panel data models were estimated for Brazil and its regions, controlling for Fixed Effects. It was observed that the Gini index is positively related to GDP and Agro GDP in Brazil and in the South, Southeast and Central-West regions. In the Northeast this relationship was negative, while in the North it was statistically non-significant. More specifically, the total number of establishments and the average area of establishments, especially the largest properties (>500 ha), were positively associated with the product. The results obtained are of great importance both for regionally subsidizing public policies to promote product levels and for policies to reconfigure the Brazilian agrarian structure
