O futebol é o esporte com maior número de praticantes no mundo. O presente trabalho tem como objeto de estudo os goleiros. A maior valorização desta função ainda é muito recente no cenário mundial e nacional. Em diferentes décadas os goleiros vivenciaram a evolução deste treinamento no cenário nacional e, portanto, tiveram experiências distintas entre si. As perguntas centrais deste estudo são: como se deu o desenvolvimento da carreira esportiva de goleiros que atuam ou já atuaram na seleção brasileira masculina de futebol? Existiram períodos importantes da carreira esportiva do atleta responsáveis para se atingir e manter o alto rendimento? O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar e descrever a carreira esportiva de goleiros que atuam ou atuaram na seleção brasileira masculina de futebol. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com sete goleiros brasileiros que vivenciaram a elite esportiva em nível internacional em diferentes períodos. Este estudo contou como subsídio teórico os estudos da obra de Côté, Stambulova e respectivos colaboradores. Como metodologia foi utilizada a Análise Temática Reflexiva. Os participantes estiveram envolvidos com uma alta quantidade de jogo deliberado por meio de brincadeiras relacionadas ao futebol em diferentes contextos. A transição de cada etapa da carreira esportiva ocorreu de maneira distinta entre os participantes, diferenciando-se do DMSP. Foi possível perceber uma tendência tecnicista no processo de desenvolvimento da carreira esportiva dos participantes. As conclusões são: o DMSP não é suficiente para analisar a complexidade de fatores que influenciam o desenvolvimento da carreira esportiva. O PAF, o Modelo de Transição de Carreira Esportiva e o Modelo de Transição Cultural são ferramentas essenciais para sustentarem as lacunas deixadas pelo primeiro modelo; há diferenças sensíveis entre as formas de desenvolvimento de carreira entre os participantes; há predominância do tecnicismo para fundamentar os treinamentos. Destaca-se a necessidade de melhorar o aspecto tático na sistematização do treinamento.

Soccer is the sport with the largest number of practitioners in the world. The present research has as object of study the goalkeepers. The greater relevance of this function is still very recent in the world and national scenario, respectively. In different decades goalkeepers experienced the evolution of this training in the national scenario and lived different experiences among themselves. The central questions of this research are: how did sports career development of goalkeepers who play or have already played in the Brazilian men's national team? Were there thresholds in their sportsc career that lead them to elite level? The theoretical framework was based on the research of Côté, Stambulova and their collaborators. The aim of this study is to investigate and describe the athletic career of goalkeepers who play or have played in the Brazilian men's national team, based on a retrospective analysis of the players themselves. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven Brazilian goalkeepers who experienced the sports elite at the international level in different periods. The methodology for this study, it was used the Reflexive Thematic Analysis. The participants were involved with a high amount of deliberate play through games related to football in different contexts. All the transitions occurred with several singularities between the groups and the participants in relation to that proposed by the DMSP. It was possible to realize a technical tendency in the development process of the participants' athletic career. The conclusions are: the DMSP is not enough to analyze the complexity of factors that influence the development of the sports career. The PAF, the Sports Career Transition Model and the Cultural Transition Model are essential tools to sustain the gaps left by the first model; there are significant differences between the forms of career development between the three groups; there is a predominance of the thecnic aspects in structured training. We highlight the necessity to improve the tactical aspect in the periodization of training.
