Esta dissertação é resultado de uma pesquisa que propôs a formulação das bases de um planejamento museológico para o Museu Histórico de Jaboticabal Aloísio de Almeida (MHJAA), a partir do uso do Inventário Participativo (IP) com algumas comunidades de Jaboticabal, em especial com o Ilê Iyá Omi Asé Sàngó Baru, comunidade candomblecista fundada em 1969. O IP foi utilizado como uma ferramenta de ação museológica, de produção de conhecimentos e de gestão voltada para mapear, identificar e documentar referências culturais e patrimoniais, histórias e memórias das comunidades participantes. Foi inserido no âmbito dos estudos sobre o alargamento do fato museal, que entende a relação entre a comunidade e seu patrimônio cultural em um território e no alargamento do conceito de patrimônio cultural, conforme preconizado em legislação nacional e internacional. A pesquisa foi estruturada na metodologia de pesquisa-ação baseada na participação social como caminho para o fortalecimento dos vínculos entre museu, comunidade e patrimônio cultural.

This dissertation is the result of research wiitch proposed the formulation of the basis of a museum planning for the Museu Histórico de Jaboticabal Aloísio de Almeida (MHJAA) based on the use of Participatory Inventory (IP) with some communities of Jaboticabal, especially with the Ilê Iyá Omi Asé Sàngó Baru, a candomblecist community founded in 1969. IP was used as a museological action tool for the production of knowledge and management aimed at mapping, identifying and documenting cultural and patrimonial references, histories, and memories of participating communities. Furthermore, it was used within the scope of studies on the extension of the museological fact, which understands the relation between the community and its cultural patrimony in a territory, and the enlargement of the concept of cultural heritage as recommended in national and international legislation. The research was structured in the methodology of action research based on social participation as a way to strengthen the links between museum, community and cultural heritage.
