Esta pesquisa se debruça sobre a relação da Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo e seu entorno, a região da Luz, através da atuação de seu Programa de Inclusão Sociocultural (PISC). O referido programa se propõe a promover o acesso aos bens culturais, presentes no museu, a pessoas em situação de vulnerabilidade social. A partir da pesquisa exploratória, o trabalho analisa se a ação deste setor educativo é capaz de produzir diálogo e transformação, tanto na população do entorno, quanto na própria atuação do museu. Buscou-se investigar a criação de vínculo entre os atores envolvidos, os impactos gerados e a representatividade dos grupos atendidos frente à população da Luz. Para tal, foram realizadas entrevistas como principal método de coleta de dados e, complementarmente, foi realizado um amplo levantamento histórico e censitário para uma melhor compreensão do objeto de estudo.

This research focuses on the relation between the museum Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and its surrounding region (Luz) based on Pinacoteca's Sociocultural Inclusion Program (PISC). This program seeks to promote access of socially vulnerable people to the museum's cultural heritage. Starting from exploratory research, this work analyzes whether the actions of this educational program are capable of producing dialogue and transformation, both within the population of the surrounding region and the museum as a whole. It aimed at investigating the formation of bonds between all those involved in the program, the impacts generated and the representativity of the attendees in comparison with the population of Luz. Interviews were used as the main method of data collection, supplemented by broad historical and demographic research for a better understanding of the object of study.
