Esta pesquisa apresenta uma análise da história da Oficina do Arco do Cego e de sua produção literária e imagética no século XVIII. Ao mesmo tempo, investiga a trajetória das matrizes de gravura produzidas pela Oficina Calcográfica no interior do acervo da Biblioteca Nacional do Rio de Janeiro. A partir do cotejamento das matrizes com as estampas publicadas em 70 edições ilustradas, elencadas no Catálogo Bibliográfico publicado em 1999 na obra A Casa Literária do Arco do Cego (1799-1801) Bicentenário: Sem livros não há instrução, foram identificadas 86 matrizes presentes na coleção. A identificação dessas matrizes possibilitou a inclusão de registros bibliográficos nos catálogos da Biblioteca Nacional, promovendo maior divulgação da coleção e facilitando o acesso para futuras pesquisas.

This research presents an analysis of the history of the Oficina do Arco do Cego and its literary and imagery production in the 18th century. At the same time, it investigates the trajectory of the copper plates produced by the Oficina Calcográfica within the collection of the National Library of Rio de Janeiro. From the comparison of the copper plates with the prints published in 70 illustrated editions, listed in the Catálogo Bibliográfico published in 1999 in the work A Casa Literária do Arco do Cego (1799-1801) Bicentenário: Sem livros não há instrução, 86 copper plates present in the collection were identified. The identification of these copper plates allowed the inclusion of bibliographic records in the National Library catalogs, promoting greater dissemination of the collection and facilitating access for future research.
