Esta tese de doutorado investiga experimentações de narrativas de deslocamentos urbanos contemporâneos, a partir de outros funcionamentos de sistemas cartográficos predominantes. A pesquisa toma as noções de mapa e movimento e as conecta produzindo uma terceira: mapas-movimentos, que acontece, por sua vez, quando utilizada pela de funcionamento. A noção de mapa é apresentada por meio da filosofia de Deleuze e Guattari, que a articula como aberto ao possível; e a de movimento, de Deleuze, como mudança de um todo. Para engendrar aberturas ao possível e às mudanças, reivindica-se um outro tipo de funcionamento, noção proveniente de Flusser; e de abertura da imagem, a partir de Didi-Huberman. No caso das cartografias, ela passa pela necessidade de romper com o que é dado a priori por sistemas cartográficos. Assim, o trabalho toma como ponto inicial a compreensão do universo das cartografias articulado a práticas de controle e relações de poder. Em seguida, a fim de serem circunscritas narrativas em proximidade à arquitetura e urbanismo, realiza-se, sob o filtro dos deslocamentos, uma leitura analítica de quatro obras provenientes do campo, que o fazem pelo interesse na ordem do visível e da superfície, tomando uma posição frente ao campo disciplinar: Townscape, The view from the road, Learning from Las Vegas e The Manhattan Transcripts. Avaliam-se suas possibilidades de atualização, em que se experimentam outras narrativas, a partir de ensaios audiovisuais coletivos, dispostos em website próprio.

This doctoral thesis investigates experiments in narratives of contemporary urban displacements, based on other operations of predominant cartographic systems. The research takes the notions of map and movement and connects them producing a third one: maps-movements, which happens, in turn, when used by functioning. The notion of map is presented through the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari, which articulates it as open to the possible; and that of movement, by Deleuze, as a change of the whole. In order to engender openings to the possible and to changes, another type of functioning is claimed, a notion from Flusser; and opening the image, from Didi-Huberman. In the case of cartographies, it goes through the need to break with what is given firstly by cartographic systems. Thus, the work takes as its starting point the understanding of the universe of cartography linked to practices of control and power relations. Then, in order to circumscribe narratives in proximity to architecture and urbanism, under the displacement filter, an analytical reading of four works from the field is carried out, which do so for the interest in the order of the visible and the surface, taking a position in front of the disciplinary field: Townscape, The view from the road, Learning from Las Vegas and The Manhattan Transcripts. Its updating possibilities are evaluated, in which other narratives are experimented, based on collective audiovisual essays, available on its own website.
