Ao longo de todo o século XX foram diversas as conquistas femininas em muitos países do mundo. A redução da fecundidade, o aumento da escolaridade e do emprego feminino e os novos arranjos familiares ampliaram as oportunidades de viver e de sobreviver fora do casamento. Apesar disso, desigualdades continuam a se desenvolver, sendo as atividades e o trabalho masculino e feminino desigualmente valorizados. Apoiada em um referencial teórico-metodológico fundamentado a partir dos estudos culturais, sociologia da sexualidade e perspectiva feminista, esta pesquisa teve como principal objetivo observar em que medida a profissionalização feminina, em dois grupos de mulheres socialmente distintos, teria efeitos sobre a experiência sexual. A questão investigada foi se e como as conquistas femininas na esfera pública estariam relacionadas à experiência da sexualidade de mulheres contemporâneas. Para tanto optou-se por observar a evolução de indicadores sociais disponíveis nas Séries Históricas e Estatísticas do IBGE que pudessem trazer informações sobre a magnitude dessas modificações sociais mais amplas, como a fecundidade, a escolaridade, o emprego e os arranjos familiares. Tais informações foram também observadas em relação com expressões dos feminismos no país. Em seguida, foi desenvolvido um estudo empírico e exploratório, realizado com dois grupos de mulheres autônomas participantes de grupos voltados para apoiar o empreendedorismo feminino. Foram realizadas vinte entrevistas individuais e semiestruturadas com mulheres dos dois grupos (10 de cada grupo), interrogando-as tanto sobre suas trajetórias educacionais e ocupacionais, como suas percepções e práticas sobre a sexualidade. Os achados foram tabulados em uma tabela que possibilitou sistematizar a caracterização dos grupos e das participantes por meio de sub-quadros e, posteriormente, foram tratados a partir de uma Análise de Correspondências Múltiplas, permitindo captar dimensões mais finas além daquelas esperadas para a variação da experiência segundo a classe social. Eles sugerem que a experiência e a percepção sobre a sexualidade, entre estas mulheres empreendedoras, dependem da classe social, mas também de outros fatores, como a idade e o estado civil

Throughout the 20th century there were several female achievements in many countries around the world. Fertility reduction, increases in female education and employment, and new family arrangements have expanded opportunities for living and surviving outside of marriage. Despite this, inequalities continue to exist, with male and female activities and work being unequally valued. Supported by a theoretical-methodological framework based on cultural studies, sociology of sexuality and a feminist perspective, this research aimed to observe how female professionalization would have effects on sexual experience, in two socially distinct groups of women. The question investigated was whether and how women's achievements in the public sphere would be related to the experience of sexuality among contemporary women. Therefore, we observed the evolution of social indicators available in the IBGE's Historical and Statistical Series that could provide information on the magnitude of these broader social changes, such as fertility, education, employment and family arrangements. Such information was also observed in relation to expressions of feminisms in the country. Then, an empirical and exploratory study was developed, carried out with two groups of autonomous women participating in groups aimed at supporting female entrepreneurship. Twenty semi-structured and individual interviews were carried out with women from both groups (10 from each group), questioning them both about their educational and occupational trajectories, as well as their perceptions and practices about sexuality. The findings were tabulated in a table that made it possible to systematize the characterization of the groups and participants through sub-frames and, later, they were treated from a Multiple Correspondence Analysis, allowing the capture of finer dimensions beyond those expected for the variation of the experience according to social class. The results suggests that the experience and perception of sexuality among women entrepreneurs depends on social class, but also on other factors such as age and marital status
