O presente estudo busca analisar a representação da cultura negra no romance "Neuromancer", de William Gibson, considerando seu impacto no contexto da Ficção Científica e sua relevância para a construção de narrativas afrofuturistas. Por meio de uma abordagem interdisciplinar que, combina estudos culturais, teoria literária e afrofuturismo, pretende-se examinar as formas pelas quais a obra de Gibson incorpora elementos da cultura negra, os desafios enfrentados pela comunidade negra e as possibilidades de afirmação e reimaginação da identidade negra na sociedade futurista retratada no romance. O trabalho investiga como elementos da cultura negra são incorporados à narrativa futurista do livro, bem como a relevância dessa representação para a construção de identidades negras em um contexto especulativo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi a investigação e análise crítica a respeito da representação da cultura negra no romance Neuromancer de William Gibson, investigando como a obra retrata a identidade, experiência e desafios enfrentados pela comunidade negra. Além disso, o presente trabalho pretende analisar o impacto da representação da cultura negra em Neuromancer no campo da ficção científica e nos debates sobre representatividade e inclusão, considerando sua relevância para a ampliação da diversidade de vozes e perspectivas dentro do gênero literário, estabelecendo conexões e diálogos críticos entre a obra de Gibson e outras produções culturais afrofuturistas, identificando temas e abordagens comuns que transcendem as fronteiras da literatura e influenciam a representação da cultura negra no imaginário coletivo.

The present study aims to analyze the representation of Black Culture in William Gibson's novel Neuromancer, considering its impact in the context of Science Fiction and its relevance for the construction of Afrofuturist narratives. Through an interdisciplinary approach, that combines cultural studies, literary theory, and Afrofuturism, it seeks to examine how Gibson's work incorporates elements of black culture, the challenges faced by the black community, and the possibilities for affirmation and reimagining of black identity in the futuristic society portrayed in the novel. The objective of this work was to investigate and critically analyze the representation of black culture in William Gibson's Neuromancer, examining how the work portrays the identity, experience, and challenges faced by the black community. Furthermore, this study aims to analyze the impact of the representation of black culture in Neuromancer in the field of science fiction and in debates about representation and inclusion, considering its relevance for expanding the diversity of voices and perspectives within the literary genre. It establishes connections and critical dialogues between Gibson's work and other Afrofuturist cultural productions, identifying common themes and approaches that transcend the boundaries of literature and influence the representation of black culture in the collective imagination.
