Esta dissertação irá abordar diferentes aspectos da cultura através de diversas disciplinas que se relacionam entre si dentro dos Estudos Culturais. A partir delas será possível discorrer sobre questões de gênero - tais como o papel da mulher na ciência ou a igualdade de gênero, por exemplo - com o público jovem. Entende-se a ciência como cultura, como parte essencial da sociedade e da qual qualquer pessoa pode fazer parte, incluindo jovens que muitas vezes desconhecem seu potencial para fazer ciência. A literatura por sua vez, em especial a literatura de ficção científica (FC) escrita por mulheres, estimula através de suas páginas a reflexão acerca da sociedade, cultura, ciência e do papel da mulher em cada uma delas. A partir da relação entre a ciência, a FC e as questões de gênero que as permeiam, propôs-se o desenvolvimento e a aplicação de atividades lúdicas de divulgação científica, inspiradas em histórias de FC escritas por autoras mulheres, a fim de discutir temáticas de igualdade de gênero presentes nessas narrativas. Abordaram-se aqui novas formas de leitura que não a tradicional do texto escrito, ampliando as perspectivas acerca de como é possível ler uma narrativa. O público para o qual estas atividades foram dirigidas, consiste em jovens de 12 a 14 anos em espaço educativo localizado em um bairro socialmente vulnerável na zona leste de São Paulo. Entendendo que este tipo de debate não chega com facilidade até estes lugares, as intervenções pretenderam estimular as conversas sobre diversas temáticas advindas de livros e permitir aproximar o contato dos jovens com a ciência e a literatura, quebrando os estereótipos muitas vezes encontrados de que elas seriam algo complicado e inacessível a todos. Para isso foram selecionadas três obras, o conto Revés Alquímico de Cristina Lasaitis e os livros Kindred: Laços de Sangue de Octavia Butler e A Mão Esquerda da Escuridão de Ursula K. Le Guin. Utilizando a metodologia de pesquisa-ação, foi feito o levantamento bibliográfico e análise teórica das três obras literárias selecionadas para este trabalho analisando-as a partir da perspectiva dos estudos culturais, sendo posteriormente realizadas as atividades propostas, as quais foram analisadas sob a mesma perspectiva, bem como sob a ótica da análise do discurso. Foi possível notar como a abordagem lúdica desperta o interesse dos participantes e possibilita que eles se mantenham interessados nas dinâmicas, além de facilitar o diálogo entre eles e as obras literárias, bem como com os conteúdos científicos. Eles ainda se mostraram curiosos e dispostos a conversar sobre o papel da mulher em diversos aspectos da sociedade

This dissertation will talk about different aspects of culture, through different disciplines that relate to each other within Cultural Studies. From these it will be possible to discuss gender issues - such as the role of women in science or gender equality, for example - with young audiences. Science is understood as culture, as an essential part of society and of which anyone can be a part, including young people who are often unaware of its potential to do science. Literature, especially science fiction (SC) literature written by women, encourages through its pages to reflect on society, culture, science and the role of women in each of them. Based on the relationship between science, SF and the gender issues that permeate them, it was proposed the development and application of recreational activities for scientific dissemination, inspired by SF stories written by female authors, in order to discuss themes of gender equality present in these narratives. New forms of reading were approached here, other than the traditional one of the written text, expanding the perspectives on how it is possible to read a narrative. The public for which these activities were directed, consists of young people from 12 to 14 years old in an educational space located in a socially vulnerable neighborhood on the east side of São Paulo. Understanding that this type of debate does not reach these places easily, the interventions intended to stimulate conversations on various themes arising from books and to allow young people to get in touch with science and literature, breaking the stereotypes often found that they would be something complicated and inaccessible to everyone. For this, three works were selected, the short story Revés Alquímico by Cristina Lasaitis and the books Kindred: Laços de Sangue by Octavia Butler and The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. Using the action research methodology, a bibliographic survey and theoretical analysis of the three literary works selected for this work was done - analyzing them from the perspective of cultural studies, and the proposed activities were subsequently carried out, which were analyzed under the same perspective, as well as from the perspective of discourse analysis. It was possible to notice how the playful approach arouses the interest of the participants and allows them to remain interested in the dynamics, in addition to facilitating the dialogue between them and the literary works, as well as with the scientific contents.
