Esta pesquisa pretende analisar a abordagem da literatura afro-brasileira nos livros didáticos de literatura voltados ao Ensino Médio, a partir de uma reflexão crítica interdisciplinar, que envolve embasamento teórico, principalmente, dos estudos culturais, dos estudos literários e da educação. Para tanto, foram analisadas as obras didáticas mais vendidas nos anos de 2018, 2019 e 2020 e as mais distribuídas pelo PNLD 2018, para levantamento de dados quantitativos e qualitativos. O caminho da investigação percorre a busca pelo conceito de literatura afro-brasileira, destaca o papel do ensino de literatura e discorre sobre diferentes facetas do livro didático, como mercadoria, subsídio e reflexo de práticas culturais. Essas reflexões são importantes para observação do cumprimento da Lei 10.639/2003 e das tensões e descentramentos que incidem no cânone que constitui o livro didático. Em linhas gerais, constata-se poucos autores e poucas obras literárias afro-brasileiras apresentadas aos alunos, e lacunas relevantes nos textos didáticos, apesar de evidenciarem aspectos que caracterizam a literatura afro-brasileira

This research intends to analyze the explanation of Afro-Brazilian literature in literature textbooks aimed at high school, from an interdisciplinary critical reflection, which involves theoretical basis, mainly, of Cultural Studies, Literary Studies and Education. To this end, the best-selling textbooks in the years 2018, 2019 and 2020 and the most distributed by the PNLD 2018 were analyzed to collect quantitative and qualitative data. The investigation way goes through the search for the concept of Afro-Brazilian literature, emphasizes the role of teaching literature and discusses different facets of the textbook, such as merchandise, subsidy and reflection of cultural practices. These reflections are important to observe the compliance with Law 10.639/2003 and the tensions and decentralizations that affect the canon that constitutes the textbooks. In general, there are few Afro-Brazilian authors and literary works presented to students, and relevant gaps in didactic texts, despite showing aspects that characterize Afro-Brazilian literature
