Abstract in English
The objective of this dissertation is to reflect on the possibilities of audiovisual narration in installations based on information technology the so-called cyberart, electronic art or computer art. The example studied is the work Idle Times/Temps Mort by Belgian artist Alex Verhaest, which aims to be an interactive film. Its narrative is constructed by the viewers gaze across the various video screens that compound the installation. The proposal here is to carry out an investigation that follows the dubiousness with which Alex Verhaest builds her work, between the possibilities of this technological world and its limitations. We intend to closely observe the relationship of this video installation with the history of artistic forms that preceded it, in order to understand the image and narrative that now emerge. This is because this path has the same movement as Verhaests work, namely of constructing and deconstructing cinema
